How to Use This Plan
SixthGrade is a complete 36-week curriculum, but it's also a framework you can stretch, compress, or remix. Here's how to get the most out of it without overplanning.

Skim the year
Open the year at a glance and read the four quarter themes. Note the anchor texts so you can borrow or order them before each quarter starts.

Set your weekly rhythm
Decide on your weekly structure — five short days or four longer ones. The daily schedule page is a flexible template, not a rule.

Open the current week
Each Monday, open the week page. It contains daily lessons, the social-studies focus, math objectives, science investigation, and ELA readings.

Assess at the milestones
Each quarter ends with a culminating project that doubles as portfolio evidence. Use the rubric to evaluate; no high-stakes testing required.

Flex when life happens
If you fall behind, drop a science investigation rather than skipping the social-studies arc — the historical narrative is what holds the year together.
